Current Mood: happy

Okay, I'm making some entries public so Scoot can read, but this is only temporary! Dude you need to get an LJ! :D

There's not much to update about me. Work is good. We only have two weeks left for the research project and then I'm going home to stay with my family for two weeks! :) My grad program gave us a list of recommended books to read before school starts, and I'm going to read all of them, along with a bunch of fiction I've been meaning to read. I haven't read this much in a long time, and I love it.

Also, I can't wait for this weekend!!! We are going to hang out of course. =) I agree with Janey, I think these days I just like hanging out and talking without having to do something in particular (that sucks up money).

Oh, and Vincent and I started Tales of the Abyss for the PS2. There really needs to be more good multiplayer co-op RPGs. This game is really fun and makes me feel nostalgia for the good 'ol days when I played Tales of Destiny with my love-dove (sister). I love it!!!!

Anticipation @ 04:20 pm

Current Mood: happy

me: Guess what, Mom? They're making Diablo 3.

Mom: Really? They're making it? When is it ready?

me: Oh, they don't know yet. Not for a while, though.

Mom: Diablo! Oh. I like that. That's a good game. I like that a lot.

Alice and I walked through the greenbelt to Sorrento Park, past the tennis courts, and played on the swings. It was fun but the swings made me experience motion sickness. What is this? The older I get the more prone I am to motion sickness. I really enjoyed walking though and she's a fun conversationalist.

I wonder if I'd get sick on roller coasters.

:D @ 11:01 am

Current Mood: amused

In other news, I caught a cold on Tuesday and continued to work the next two days. I think something is going around in the office because Kellie was off work one day last week and yesterday, and Summerlynn two days ago. I made sure to Purell the heck out of myself and keep my germs to myself, but Summerlynn and Ramiro think I needed a day off to recover anyway. So I took today off and I'm in SF! Haha don't worry, I'm just staying in and sleeping a lot. I feel a lot better (I still have symptoms, but they're lighter) and I think it's because it's not 300 degrees outside. I love Davis, really I do, and summers in Davis have always been fun and memorable for me, but maaaaaaaan... I can't handle the weather!

From now on most of my entries will be friends-only! Don't worry, nothing happened, I just think I should probably be doing it haha. I mean, what if potential future PhD schools find out I voted for David Cook and blacklists me? Haha just kidding, I know they don't read  this. You never know though, maybe the field of psychology is full of Archies.

Log in to read my entries!!

I see my family soon! My job's cool! I have the best friends in the universe. I have the cutest bunny ever. I'm excited to start grad school! Life's awesome. :)

Casual Friday @ 07:20 am

Alice and I both started our summer jobs on Tuesday, and today is our first casual Friday. I don't know what to wear!! I think I'm just going to wear business casual!

Need a back-up plan @ 12:38 am

Current Mood: contemplative

She wonders if we can crash it (we are broke), but apparently it's not allowed this term.

I'm afraid if we chance it, she'll be disappointed. I will NOT see her disappointed. I want to see her happy and having fun. Thus... I need a back-up plan. I was hoping dinner + club with Carrie and Carolyn, but it won't be the same for her.

I can't even go to her graduation since I have work. Blahfslkjdkfj.

I will think of something.

Job @ 05:12 pm

I love the company I work for. If I wasn't going to grad school after this research project is over, I would love to work for their future projects.

Current Mood: cheerful

I'm always multi-tasking for some reason. I find myself running around trying to do too many things in my schedule. Although everything usually gets accomplished in the end, I always end up stressing out and panicking. Hahaha but it gets done.

I have a paper to turn in by 11:55pm tonight, and I know it'll be uploaded at around 11:53. Sigh. I need to change my habits! Most other things have been resolved now, though. I donated my dress, finished job training (I was smiling throughout it all--- I'm so excited!!), and finished my miscellaneous errands except for picking up a package at the post office (which I'll get to in half an hour). The ultrasound and blood test results came back in normal, which is good, although now I don't know what's wrong with me :D. Thanks for those of you who have been supporting me!!! If I still have symptoms by next Tuesday they'll take an X-ray.

I was surprised to receive a Thank You card in the mail today from the SP office, thanking me for putting in so many extra shifts. All of the staff members signed it... it made me happy! Obviously that's not what I get most out of counseling there but it's still super nice. :)

Yayyyyy things are awesome. You can probably tell I'm in a really good mood. =D=D=D

EDIT: Paper started out annoyingly perfectionist and gradually declined in quality as my laziness increased. :)

Donations @ 10:29 am

Quick post:

If you're in the Sacramento or surrounding areas and you have prom stuff like dresses, tuxes, accessories, shoes, etc., you can donate them to the Laurel Ruff Learning Center, which is holding a prom for their special ed students on May 30th. I'm driving there in half an hour before work starts, but they're even willing to meet you somewhere or pick your donations up. I don't know about you guys but I have too many dresses from Aphio banquets and winter formal and just stuff I've bought on a whim. So I'm donating all of them plus all the nice dresses I have. I'm not familiar with tax receipts and I don't think I'll take them, but you can if you want.

Here's the Craigslist link. She's really friendly so give her a call. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/wan/690104592.html

Cook v. Archuleta @ 09:55 pm

Cook won.

Did Archuleta cry?? I don't have a TV so I can't watch it until someone puts it on Youtube.

Oh no! Now I feel guilty.

Did I contribute to making a little boy cry??

The most embarrassing 10 cents of my life @ 12:29 am

Current Music: Cook is better

It's been a ridiculous day, so it seemed appropriate to me to finish it off with something like voting for American Idol. Yes, I voted. I never knew it was that easy.

Summer job @ 05:03 pm

I got a full-time job as a research interviewer at this company in Sac, which is currently conducting research for the Washington State Department of Early Learning. They're collecting data from childcare and family centers about their availability and costs. Since it's a temporary project, it's also a temp job, running from the end of May to early July. They would offer a longer position afterwards, but they're okay with the fact that I can't take it. Anyway, I'm really grateful that I got the job. I spent wayyyy too much on transcript orders this year and need to earn that money back. Unfortunately, that also means I can't come home until July.

I turned down the Peak job which means no free membership and no opportunity to stalk Biggie's twin.

MadTV - Bobby Lee - Korean Soap Opera @ 04:50 pm

The awesome Amy linked this to me. You'll get a kick out of it especially if you watch Korean dramas. It's really cool that MAD TV would parody something that isn't widely known in the U.S.

Bobby Lee is great!
